How you can help Appeals Riot Donate Fundraise Riot Appeal... We wanted to introduce Riot to everyone. This poor little mite was brought into us after being seized after his previous owners failed to get him veterinary treatment, and did not provide him with a suitable environment to live. He entered our centre in a horrendous condition. His nails were long, he looked to have a flea allergy, his body score was a 1/5, and one of his legs was being held at a very uncomfortable angle. We jumped into action and got him seen by our vets. The lovely vets at Vets for Pets Dronfield checked him over first and administered pain relief, and he was then sent our way. He has since seen our vets, and they have given him a thorough check over and have decided that the best course of action for his leg would be to amputate. He has been a little trooper and has adjusted to kennel life surprisingly well. He loves spending time with our volunteers and having short walks to ensure that he does not injure himself further. We don't know how long he has had this injury, but it is evident that it is causing him quite a bit of an issue. Obviously, this is going to be a big change for Riot. He loves walking and getting out and about, but this will significantly improve his quality of life. The appointment has been booked soon, and we are appealing to our community to see whether anyone would like to help fund Riot's op. This operation will cost us roughly £1000. He will then provide aftercare for this op, too. We are looking for a foster home for him to recover from this, too. So, we are looking for an experienced foster home for him to recover in, that can give him the love and care he needs while he recovers. If you feel like you could help out with providing a loving home, please apply below. Apply Here! As a self-funded branch, we are responsible for raising 95% of our funds. So, an operation like this does not come lightly. Many people think that we are financially supported by the RSPCA National; however, we do not. We rely on our kind supporters to help keep our centre running. Having a supportive community as we do, we couldn't bemore thankful. If you want to help our appeal for Riot, then please donate below.
